Chirpin' Chocolate Nut Brownies
Justine Kinirons a sustainable living blogger from Toronto, Ontario created this delicious Chocolate Nut Brownie recipe with our Chocolate Cricket Protein Powder.
Base Layer Ingredients:
• 2 cups dates
• 1/2 cup pistachios
• 1/2 cup walnuts
• 3 tbs cocoa powder
• 2 tbs maple syrup
• 1 tbs Chocolate Cricket Protein Powder
• Pinch of sea salt
Top Layer Ingredients:
• 3/4 cup dates
• 1/4 cup cocoa powder
• 1/4 cup coconut oil
• 1/2 cup unsweet almond milk
Base Layer Instructions:
⁃ Preheat oven to 355F
⁃ Roast nuts in the oven for 10 minutes
⁃ Blend nuts, dates, cocoa powder, cricket powder, sea salt, and maple syrup
⁃ Spread evenly into a baking tray, and place in the freezer
Top Layer Instructions:
⁃ Blend dates, cocoa powder, coconut oil, and almond milk
⁃ Spread this mixture on top of the brownie base
⁃ Place back in the freezer for 4 hours
